A wonderful set of Shelby Oceanite Earrings. The gems have a total carat size of 1.9 carats. Shelby Gems is the ONLY place in the World you can buy Oceanite. We Invented it! It has a beautiful ocean blue color with a lot of sparkle. This isn't the mineral Oceanite. We just thought it sounded like a nice name, it wasn't til later that we found out that there is a mineral called by the same name. It doesn't look like our Oceanite at all!! Like all of our jewelry, it is set in solid 14kt white or yellow gold. This gem can also be used as a December birthstone.

Our "Oceanite" Gem was invented by Larry Kelley, as were most of the other gems on this site. It was made to be a duplicate color of the "Heart of the Ocean" pendant in the movie Titanic. It has more sparkle than any other blue natural gem and it is a very hard, tough crystal. Highly resistant to scratches, and chips. (Of course, as with any gem, care should be taken to not come in contact with Diamond or sandpaper.) It is really beautiful! Shelby Gem Factory is the ONLY place in the World you can buy our "Oceanite". This isn't at all like the mineral Oceanite.
